our story
The Foundation originated as a social media–driven initiative known as “10K Laptops for 10K Nigerian Youth,” aimed at providing essential digital tools to young people excluded from the tech ecosystem due to financial and structural barriers. Building on the success and impact of this initiative, the organization has evolved into a structured foundation with a continental vision for youth empowerment through technology.

Minds behind the Idea
FOUNDER
A Nigerian-trained medical doctor currently based in the United Kingdom, he is deeply passionate about human development, youth empowerment, and personal growth. With a strong belief that access to the right tools can transform lives, he founded the 10k Laptops Project — an initiative created to bridge the digital divide and give young people a chance to compete in the global tech space. What began as a simple idea has since grown and evolved into the Tech Access Foundation for Youth Empowerment, a broader platform dedicated to equipping youths with digital skills, opportunities, and resources needed to build sustainable careers.
Driven by purpose and compassion, he is known for his confidence, resilience, and selfless commitment to creating impact. Beyond medicine, his work focuses on opening doors for underserved communities, mentoring young people, and championing initiatives that promote learning, innovation, and economic independence. He believes that when young people are empowered with knowledge, technology, and support, they can reshape their futures and contribute meaningfully to society.
CO-FOUNDER
Adeboye Folowosele is a Nigerian-born Senior Data Scientist based in the United Kingdom, Founder of Adech Global Enterprises, and Co-founder of the 10K Laptop Initiative.
Through Adech Global Enterprises, he has built a platform that blends data, education, and opportunity. A key part of his work involves training aspiring analysts ; offering both free learning communities and structured paid programmes to help people develop practical data skills and become professionals in their own right.
While mentoring learners, he recognised that many talented individuals were held back not by lack of ability, but by lack of access to the most basic tool: a working laptop. This realisation inspired the creation of the 10K Laptop Initiative, a social impact project designed to remove that barrier and give motivated individuals the resources they need to practise, learn, and build careers in data and technology.
CO-FOUNDER
As a Registered Nurse and proud US Army veteran, I’ve dedicated my life to saving lives, whether stabilizing a bleeding soldier in the heat of combat or comforting a patient in the dead of night in a Texas hospital. That battlefield to
bedside grit taught me one unbreakable truth: talent and will mean nothing without the right tools and a fair shot. No gear, no mission success. No access, no breakthrough.
I grew up in Abẹ́òkúta, Ogun State, born into a big family where resources were scarce. I know firsthand what it means to face life with little to nothing, and how quickly circumstances can count against you. Because of this, I’ve dedicated my social influence to ensuring as many people as possible get a legitimate head start in life.
When the 10K Laptop Initiative idea was brought to me, I didn’t just accept the challenge,I jumped in fully. I understand the profound impact a well-planned mission like this can have on ordinary people in a developing nation like ours. A third-world country could benefit immensely from it, unlocking doors to education, skills, careers, and real change for thousands of motivated youths.
